Today sort of snuck up on me,
even though I'd maybe sorta kinda been waiting for it.
I even chopped all my hair off in anticipation,
New year, new hair!
I remember really liking being 7 years old,
17 was also a pretty awesome year...
So I have no doubts that 27 will be a good one too.
Being born on ANZAC day (lest we forget)
has meant that I've never had to work or go to school on my birthday,
until I moved to Sweden of course...
Luckily I happened to have today off work,
so I did what anyone does with a day off work...
The laundry!
No really, it was nice and it got better too
because while I was waiting for the laundry to do its thing
I went to my favorite second hand store.
I got a great haul! And you know what?
I might just have to show off a few of my treasures...
One absolutely gorgeous -never used- tea towel
One Rörstrand bowl, perfect for holding the table salt, and a sweet birdy friend.
One graduated blue, little fatty of a vase.
One ''Kitty Kola'' original print.
(I reckon I can find a more exciting frame for it.)
One brilliant blue Finnish mints tin.
(Not sure what to put in it but it looks nice in this little corner for now.)
3 of these sexy black and white cups and saucers!
And the best one,
well the best one is going to be revealed in another post all of its own!!
So after all this excitement, what is a girl to do with a few hours to spare
but go in to town and look at shoes?!
Well that's exactly what I did!
And then, what does a birthday girl do after looking at shoes?
Go for a fika of course!
And then after fika...
Time to head home for pink bubbles and Pad Thai.
All this on top of an overflow of lovely messages from lots of lovely friends!
I go to bed a very happy 27 year old :)
