I Got Bitten...

... By the Pinterest bug!

Here I was being all 20th century analog,
tearing my favorite bits out of my magazines
and making my very own magazine of sorts.
Because that's all there was to do with paper and glue.

And theeeeen...

Suddenly Pinterest!

Pros:
  • Free
  • No gluing or mess
  • So much inspiration
  • Easy to brows your friends' virtual scrapbook too
  • Excellent rainy day/hungover killer of time
  • Great way to finally organize those "inspiration" folders all over your desktop
  • Leads you to blogs and corners of the internet that otherwise might be missed
Cons
  • No gluing or mess
  • Too much inspiration (makes me want to redecorate everything, have everything and do everything!
  • So many friends of friends things to check out too...
  • Kills hours on end
Yeah ok, the pros outweigh the cons, kind of.

Anyway here's what I've managed to rustle up since all of 5 days ago:
7 "boards", 95 "pins", 25 "likes, 5 "followers" and 8 "following"

This pretty well sums it up I guess.

Oh yeah, just in case you want to have a nosey...
You'll find my pinny pin pins here.

The king of suburbia

Apparently our two minutes of winter is over and spring has "officially" sprung.

Finally a breath of fresh air - as we are able to open the windows for a bit
without turning our apartment into a 50sqm fridge!

Now these little buttercups may not seems like much, but they are flowers!
Haven't seen them for like... 6 months!!

So like any good Swede, I am doing my best to soak up all the sun possible
by thrusting my face in to the sun while waiting for the tram.
Mmmmm... Pleasantly blinded by the light!

Last weekend I dragged my very good friend to a little shop
that I've been wanting to check out for a while
promising lots of retro goodies...
Turns out the shop was a little bit too "shabby chic" for our taste,
so off we went towards some real second hand stores for a proper rummage!

On our way we were lucky enough to spot a red squirrel
doing acrobatics right above us!
Now that's not something that you see everyday,
especially in eastern Gothenburg suburbia...

He managed to stay still for all of about half a second,
just enough time for my camera to half focus on him...
And then he was off!
Hopping, flying and scrambling along,
generally being the little red king of his row of trees.

Check out that look of concentration in his little eye,
and the whispy ears blowing about in the wind!

Then it was time for some lunch at a "French" cafe where the choice was
a baguette, a baguette, or a baguette,
with a croissant, croissant or a croissant...
(it was actually really delicious)

It was such a nice day, so we ended up walking half way around town,
and poking our noses in to the Antikhallarna.

I do not know how I didn't know of this place earlier!
And unfortunately for us, half of it is currently under renovation.
But I was still very impressed with the seating for the cafe in the middle of it all.

All in all, it was a very successful day,
which could only be made better
by a little parcel full of excellent goodies from my sister
- and a potted daffodil to fill the ridiculously colourful baskety things
found on our second hand store rummage :)
